West Bristol Arts Trail 2016

By suepickering, Oct 6 2016 09:38AM

In just over a week's time I will be setting up my work at the West Bristol Arts Trail. This will be the fourth year that I have taken part in this trail and I am looking forward to showing my new work. In an art trail some artists show their work in their own homes, but I always exhibit as part of a larger group in a public venue. My venue is the Bristol School of Art - the place where I studied for my Foundation Course 8 years ago.

Art Trails are a great opportunity to see the work of a whole range of artists in a particular area of the city. In Bristol, there are 8 annual art trails - each covering a different area. The West Bristol Arts Trail takes place around Clifton, Hotwells, Cliftonwood and Redland.

I will be showing some of my recent collages and paintings, along with prints and paintings made over the last couple of years. I have giclee prints of some of these pieces for those that don't want to splash out on originals - and also greetings cards, which can be great way to have an example of an artist's work. I also show my glass tile jewellery, wrapped textile jewellery and hand-printed 'little books'.

The 2016 West Bristol Arts Trail takes place on 15th and 16th October (11.00am-5.00pm). If you are in Bristol that weekend - come along and take a look!
